In the Spring of 2017, one of the industry leaders in molded plastic packaging came to EAM-Mosca frustrated with the performance of their 50+ competitor supplied strapping machines. Common issues included incomplete strap feeds, inconsistent strap tension and wasteful coil changes on their plastic detergent bottle production lines.
One of our Regional Sales Managers surveyed the production facility and proposed a no-risk trial for a Mosca ROMP-6-Sonixs strapping machine. After plant and corporate approval, the trial began in May 2017 using 6mm PP strapping, a close match to the competitor strap the company had been previously using. Within nine months, 12 Mosca strapping machines had been installed, and strap size successfully reduced to 5mm.
