Fully Automatic Bundler with Modular Squaring Device for Improved Bundle Quality

The company’s new TR5C-SQ fully-automatic bundle squaring and strapping system is a simple, effective unit built on the highly reliable TR5-C platform that dramatically improves bundle quality.
The third generation system features a modular squaring device for improved bundle quality and can be factory upgraded for existing TR5-C and TR5C-Q systems. A pneumatic compression bar keeps bundles flat and controls strap position, while electrically driven backstops and side conditioners provide bundle squaring.
The system’s unique leading edge squaring mechanism provides better squaring effectiveness over a wider range of bundles sizes than previously offered models and has a production rate of up to 25 bundles per minute. The company reports that the TR5C-SQ meets the speed, bundle size and performance requirements of new 100” Flexos in high production environments.
The new bundler is available with Mosca’s standard heat seal system proven in thousands of systems worldwide; or the new, innovative Sonixs sealer. Sonixs uses ultra-sonic technology to make strap seals by converting an electrical impulse into a very high frequency, low-amplitude mechanical vibration to make a consistent, secure seal with reduced energy costs. It is fast, clean, and because of its simplicity and sealed bearing construction, sheds dust and dirt, eliminating hours of maintenance.
According to Randy Wright, vice president, Corrugated Industry Sales, ‘the Sonixs sealer can easily save over $2,000.00 year in maintenance costs and replacement parts over a heat seal system, adding to the appeal of the new, simplified, integrated bundling-squaring system.
