Payroll and Treasury Accountant
The Senior Accountant will hold the primary treasury responsibilities within the department, perform all payroll
accounting and reporting functions, as well as various general, financial accounting functions.
Qualifications:
- Payroll Accounting
- Record all payroll, commission, employee benefit, and 401(k) journal entries and prepare all related general ledger
account reconciliations - Prepare quarterly earned income and local services tax returns
- Facilitate all intercompany payroll charges
- Partnering with HR, maintain accounting responsibilities over the company 401(k) plan, including weekly
transmittals of data to the plan administrator - Prepare monthly management reports on salaries, wages, and employee benefits
- Record all payroll, commission, employee benefit, and 401(k) journal entries and prepare all related general ledger
- Treasury
- Manage operational working capital and report daily cash balances
- Oversee all AP payment processing
- Initiate all foreign currency spot buys, and execute the company’s foreign currency hedging strategies for all EAM
entities - Process foreign currency payments in the company’s ERP system
- Utilize vendors’ third party payment portals to initiate electronic payments
- Prepare monthly cash reports for EAM’s parent company
- Manage the company’s American Express program
- Manage debt obligations and covenant compliance, and prepare monthly account reconciliations
General accounting tasks, including but not limited to, participation in the month-end closing process, month end
reporting including financial statement preparation, and special projects as assigned.
Profile and Background:
- 7-10 years of experience in accounting
- Four (4) year degree in accounting
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and working with data
- Self-motivated with aspirations for learning and growth
- Organized and detail-oriented; possesses problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently; effective written and oral communicator; works well in teams
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus
- Public accounting experience a plus
