How do you determine the proper number of straps per package?

The size and weight of the product to be strapped, and the break strength of the strapping determines the number of straps required. Each type of strap has a stated maximum verified break strength. The regional sales manager will discuss and recommend the best and most efficient strapping for your application.

What are the different types of plastic strapping?

We manufacture embossed Polypropylene (PP) strapping typically used to strap lighter bundled products and Polyester (PET) machine grade strapping typically used for strapping heavier products, pallet loads, and shipping units.

Can I use plastic strapping in place of steel?

In some cases, you can use plastic strapping in place of steel strapping. The application might typically require a wider 12 – 15mm Polyester (PET) strap, which has a higher break strength and stiffer quality for strapping and stabilizing heavy products, shipping units, and pallets. I have a Mosca strapping machine, but I need technical help, what should I do?

Contact our Service Department at (800) 456-3420. We offer troubleshooting support over the phone Monday through Friday from: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, EST. If your machine is down and you need to schedule a field service technician, the service dispatcher will assist you.

Do you provide custom solutions?

How do I get a machine manual?

How do I know what size strap I need?

The size and weight of your product and any special requirements will determine what width (from 5mm – 12mm) and type (PP or PET) of strapping you will need to use and how many straps to apply to your package. What is Preventive and Predictive Maintenance?

Preventive and predictive maintenance refers to recommended maintenance done regularly, whether daily, weekly, or monthly to keep your equipment lubricated, dust-free, have worn parts replaced, and in the best working order for the longest equipment life. Do you offer a warranty on equipment?

We offer a one year warranty on all of our machines and a two-year warranty on all Sonixs sonotrodes and generators.

What is SoniXs?

SoniXs ultrasonic sealing technology is our proprietary technology that uses high-frequency vibrations to seal strap ends together and has many advantages over traditional heat sealing. Read more here.
